Wiltshire Wader Group
Project 2. Public Engagement
To help us understand the level of concern people in Wiltshire have relating to the issues we are trying to tackle a short survey has been developed. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out and the responses we get enable us to gauge what needs to be done to improve public awareness. The link can be found below.
The loudest voice for raising conservation issues within the county lies not with conservationists but with the general public. Wiltshire Wader Group works hard to educate members of the public and raise awareness of the problems faced by breeding waders in the county.
We hope to carry out a variety of talks to community groups around the county and undertake 'Wader Walks' taking members of the public out to experience wading birds for themselves.

Why the public matter
To help reach a wider audience and raise awareness through other media outlets we have a leaflet that summaries the work we do and why we do it. It can be downloaded from the link below. Please feel free to distribute it to anyone you think would be interested in helping protect Wiltshire's Waders.
